The initial idea for "Wave To You" came to me at the height of the "pandemic" when it seemed that waving might become the most intimate form of human communication. There was the media coverage of people waving to their elderly relatives through the windows of nursing homes and hospitals. If things got really intimate both parties would reach up and put a hand on the glass separating them and pretend they were touching hands. On recreational trails and city streets people that would formerly stop and talk would now just causally wave. Then I thought that it might become a "thing" between partners in causal internet hookups to promise that they would always wave to each other no matter what - because after all their relationship wasn't that "cheap" and "causal."
