"Mud In Your Eye" is based on my reaction to the few "news stories" I can actually bear to watch anymore. The truth has always done poorly in the ratings and is time consuming and expensive to report accurately, but at least in the past a few people were committed to looking for it, even if they were rarely successful at getting it much exposure. Today intense competition between vast numbers of media outlets has managed to expose one major truth - that if the media outlets themselves don't know what the truth is, the public that depends on the media for the truth certainly can't know what the truth is. Yes, nearly everybody in media came to realize they are totally free to throw "Mud In Your Eye." It's all about stories built out of "micro-truths" and "micro-lies" now. Michael Zenwarren
