Hundreds of images and feelings I've accumulated about Chicago and life in general over the years all kind of came together to create the song "Leaving Chicago" for me. All I had to do really was play it. Chicago as a city has always felt more grounded and "real" to me than New York or Los Angeles. Kind of the epicenter of reality in the United States. I really always kind of liked that about Chicago and the people there, but lately I just feel like there is a lot of potential being wasted there and that I've wasted a lot of my own potential. Maybe it's time for both Chicago and I to start working on turning things around and really using our potential. Michael Zenwarren
