I wrote "Bones and Vapor" as an attempt at a kind of upbeat reality check. In an almost totally delusional world the reality of reality is usually perceived in a very negative light. So honestly, in "Bones and Vapor" I made a few concessions to delusion just to make sure it had at least a slight chance at popular acceptance, but largely I tried to "keep it real."
