"Barely Breathing" is about how we deceive ourselves, about just about everything, right up until the end. Hell we sometimes keep deceiving ourselves even past the end. Past the point were you'd think even the most delusional would stop deceiving themselves. But no. Hey, but really, that ability to deceive ourselves is just what we need to keep ourselves going sometimes. Self-deception is one of the human races greatest evolutionary adaptations.
